Casting courses

Anyone can learn the art of fly fishing. It is important to learn the "right" casting techniques from the beginning. Mistakes that are made from the beginning can only be corrected with great effort over time. In order to document this, we record the casting techniques of our clients on video & optimize them at the same time if necessary.

Individual appointments according to your wishes. In order to guarantee the best possible coaching, we limit the number of participants to a maximum of 4.

If you do not have your own equipment, we will provide it for the course. Of course, we are happy to advise you on the purchase of suitable equipment, independent of dealers.

Private Course 1 (beginners)

This introductory course is designed for people who want to learn to fly fish with a one-handed rod. The course is divided into 50% theory & 50% practice.


Duration: 8 hours (appointments by arrangement)

Cost: CHF 350.- per person

Course location: after arrangement

Private Course 2 (advanced)

This continuation of Course 1 is designed for people who already have some experience with the single handed fly rod and would like to further develop their skills.

The course takes place in the Zurich area and is divided into 30% theory & 70% practice.


Duration: 8 hours (appointments by arrangement)

Cost: CHF 350.- per person

Private Course 3 (practice on the water)

The course is designed for the fly fisherman who wants to determine his own needs in both theory and practice.


Duration: 8 hours (appointments by arrangement)

Fly tying courses

Catch the fario with the fly you tie? ... The perfect fly fisherman!

Have you bought a fly? Sorry, I can't see you on the water! ... No problem, we'll show you how to integrate a visual aid.

Fly tying is not witchcraft & we will show you how it works. We will demonstrate the most common techniques and those we have learned ourselves. We will tie immediately usable flies for the surrounding waters & explain the entomological basics that are interesting for fly fishermen.

Individual appointments according to your wishes. In order to guarantee the best possible service, we limit the number of participants in our tying courses to a maximum of 4 people (classic salmon flies in private lessons).

If you do not have your own equipment, we will provide it for you. Of course, we are happy to advise you on the purchase of suitable equipment, independent of dealers.

Course 1 (beginners)

This basic course is designed for people who are interested in learning the art of fly tying and who want the opportunity to outsmart their fish with self tied flies.


Duration: 5 hours (appointments by arrangement)

Course 2 (advanced)

An intensive continuation course for people who already have some experience in fly tying and have mastered the first basic techniques. The course begins with an overview of the different types of flies - dry flies, nymphs, wet flies & streamers. Students will learn about the natural models in their various stages of development, from larvae to dead insects. The course builds on this with appropriate imitations that will be convincing to the fish. Patterns will be tied from the most delicate nymph to the pike streamer.


Duration: 5 hours (appointments by arrangement)
